A Victorian Walnut Humidor. This box veneered in. That has a been embellished with a ebony corners. There is a pair of doors on the front. One of which has a bramah lock which is always a sign of quality. The doors open to reveal a pair of drawers. Both with a recessed handle. Each drawer is cedar lined with a partition for your cigars. T his box is in good condition with a lovely finish. 29.5cm x 26cm x 23cm. The box does come with a working key. An outstanding antique 19th century Victorian wooden cigar caddy box. Unique cabinet form with sarcophagus styling to the top. Double front doors, retains a working lock and key. Beautifully carved from walnut perhaps, finished with gorgeous detailing along the edges. Superb hardware throughout, brass or bronze finished in silver gilt. With exquisite openwork at the hinges and ornate lock escutcheons to the front doors. Opening to reveal eight sliding and removable cigar racks, each capable of holding six cigars. Resting on four bun feet. Overall in good condition with general wear commensurate with use and age. The back having a couple of old cracks to the wood panel as shown. Antique 19th Century Victorian Period. Tiger Oak & Brass Mount. A wonderful desk top cigar smokers cabinet constructed in the manner of a safe in beautifully grained Tiger Oak with ebony string highlights and English Royal crests to doors. Brass mounts and handles, the brass lock cover slides open to reveal a fully operational lock alas no key. The twin doors open to reveal a fully fitted interior again with brass mount handles consisting of four draws for cigar storage. The cabinet is in beautiful condition. Tiger oak is more expensive than normal oak as it is taken from better wood and cut at such an angle to produce the tiger stripe effect therefor being used on the finest quality furniture. Dimensions: 9 1/2″(24.1cm) wide by 9 1/2″ (24.1cm) high by 7(17.8cm) deep. Would make a wonderful gift. Antique Victorian Wood BoxMetal Claws FeetMarquetry. Tea Caddy OR Tobacco OR? The box is about 11″ wide claw feet to claws feet x 9″ x 7 tall. It seams made of mahogany wood, but I’m not sure about it. Please examine the pictures carefully as they are essential part of the description. Item has damages such as on the one hinge, scratches, one marquetry corner inlay is missing (pic 4), the wood has line cracks on the bottom. Otherwise it’s functional despite the flaws, and the key is working. Thank you and have a great day!
