Novelty table top cigar box, Circa 1870 un date. The rectangular box is in a form of a safe, it features a panelled door with brass handle and central lock, opening to reveal two drawers with gothic revival handles to each. There is a further brass “campaign” handle on each side of the box, it is raised on a plinth base and has a working Secure lock with original key. The locking system bears the Victorian registration number RD 56159. It would make a beautiful gift to any connoisseur of fine cigars. In excellent condition, please see photos for confirmation.
