Originally a writing slope, it has been re-purposed as cigar humidor and ceder wood lining has been added later to the interior. Original lock and key. There are two filters in the lid to regulate humidity, these will likely need new filters to function. Good large size and a good conversion. Monogram to the inlaid mother of pearl. Antique 19th Century Victorian Period. Tiger Oak & Brass Mount. A wonderful desk top cigar smokers cabinet constructed in the manner of a safe in beautifully grained Tiger Oak with ebony string highlights and English Royal crests to doors. Brass mounts and handles, the brass lock cover slides open to reveal a fully operational lock alas no key. The twin doors open to reveal a fully fitted interior again with brass mount handles consisting of four draws for cigar storage. The cabinet is in beautiful condition. Tiger oak is more expensive than normal oak as it is taken from better wood and cut at such an angle to produce the tiger stripe effect therefor being used on the finest quality furniture. Dimensions: 9 1/2″(24.1cm) wide by 9 1/2″ (24.1cm) high by 7(17.8cm) deep. Would make a wonderful gift. Antique Bronze Copper Cigar Box Humidor Hammered Carnelian Eye Stamped Wmfg 48

Jeweled Arts and crafts humidor box, Masonic eye on a hand hammered body in a nicely aged dark patina in a copper bronze and silver. The box is cedar wood lined, excellent for humidor use. The applied masonic eye on top is set on a brighter copper triangle with a silver eye, at its center is a smooth carnelian cabochon stone, round on top. Stunning piece measures appx 7.5″ long by 4″ wide. Marked with makers hallmark WMF G, and GERMANY on underside. The large rectangular box sits on four bun supports, has a hammered copper bronze body, flat edge detail to edge of hinged cover, the hinge has a crimped surround edge, moves easily. Missing wooden insert slats and has very minor wear, small scratch and very minor dent to corner. Not polished or cleaned, I only wipe with soft cloth, this is from my personal collection, in excellent condition see photos for details. Circa 19th century to early 20th century. Up for sale is a nice quality antique 19th century handmade wooden cigar display case box. It’s made out of carved mahogany wood with an ornate trim and is nicely lined with a maroon. The box has a very ornate gilt brass and wooden handle mounted to the lid that pivots on a ball joint. The box is properly lined with a metal humidor and in great condition. 19th century gilt bronze jewelry box or casket with sculpted relief scenes depicting working man and industry. Made 19th century, in Germany by Erhard & Sohnne, established in 1844. 5 3/8inches long; 3inches wide; 2 5/8inches high. Stands on 4 legs. Exceptional relief sculpture on all sides and top of the casket. Each scene depicts heroic figures pursueing an act of industry. Some work machinery, some plant, water, graft, carry baskets, work in fields, ride carts. Unusually rich background detail of trees, fruit, baskets. The top depicts a youth riding one horse, another reigned with it. The horses rear through a landscape of trees and bushes, houses and high walls in the background. The figures are almost 3-dimentional and the moulding is highly detailed and naturalistic. Inside is lined in it’s original green velvet. Original KEY with openwork lion. The very best quality workmanship. Both box and key are marked for the makers, Erhard & Sohnne: an ES on the key and the lion symbol on both key and box. Good condition: no damage of any sort. Antique English Sterling Silver Cigar Box / Humidor 1905

A fabulous chunky double cigar box / humidor. Standing on four original ball feet, the box has two lidded compartments, lined in Cedar wood to keep the contents fresh. These are often referred to as Humidors, this is a modern invention and so isn’t officially a humidor; it is the Cedar wood that did the job. Made from English sterling silver, there are numerous hallmarks to all the components, most rubbed due to the smooth finish of the box. The marks can be made out to be for Birmingham 1905, a true Edwardian example. An impressive piece in excellent condition, minor wear commensurate with age. 10″ x 6″ x 4 1/2 tall to top of handle.
