Antique English Brass Mounted Oak Automated Cigar Box / Humidor 1890

Antique English Brass Mounted Oak Automated Cigar Box / Humidor – 1890. A wonderful Victorian cigar box or cabinet made from solid English Oak decorated with brass mounts, a winning combination to create a very handsome piece indeed. The top has a central shield handle shaped cartouche with one to the front drawer. These are always highly sought-after with their automated action; once the box is unlocked (complete with working key) the drawer is opened which automatically slides opens the lid, when the drawer is shut, the lid closes. The interior is fully fitted, lined in Cedar wood which is what kept cigars fresh; this is not officially a Humidor as these are modern inventions to regulate the humidity within; it is the Cedar lining that did this job well over 100 years ago. The bottom drawer is fitted with nickel tray for cigar trimmings and beyond is a trough for matches and a strike. Superb condition, measuring 12.5 inches wide, 7.5 inches deep and x 6.25 inches tall. TOP QUALITY ANTIQUE COROMANDEL WOOD DRESSING CASE VANITY CASE & JEWELLERY BOX by PARKINS & GOTTO of LONDON 11 3/4 inches (300mm) wide, by 8 1/2 inches (220mm) deep, by 5 inches (130mm) tall Coromandel wood throughout. Lid has “stand up” hinges (see photos), & mirror inside. Mirror has storage behind. Velvet lined, lift out tray, fitted with lidded compartments, (see photos). Good, antique condition with very light wear in keeping with its great age, but no damage. The hinges work as they should, and the lid opens and closes without issue. This is a Good Quality piece, and it would make a lovely display item and be a great addition to any collection. FINE ANTIQUE BRASS INLAID COROMANDEL WOOD CIGAR BOX HUMIDOR 1880 Cabinet Case. The box measures approx 6 3/4 inches (175mm) wide, by 7 inches (180mm) deep, by 4 1/2 inches (115mm) tall, and is made from Coromandel wood with delicate brass inlay, and inset brass handles at either side. The hinged lid has “stand up” hinges (see photos), and the interior is lined with mahogany. This beautiful antique cigar box. Is in good, antique condition with light wear and small restorations in keeping with its great age, but no damage. The hinges work as they should, and the lid is a good fit, and opens and closes without issue. 1928 RARE Rockwell Kent Sally Art Deco Cigar Box. The outside of the box is brass and the inside is lined with wood. The image on the front is attributed ti Rockwell Kent, a famous artist, print maker and writer, 1882 1971. The image depicts Sally (Sally Kent Gorton) his wife and widow. The image was designed in 1928 for an A. Spalding & Brothers magazine advertisement. Epicts Sally (Sally Kent Gorton) his wife and widow. There are very few of this particular box available. Rockwell Kent had the image etched in the lids of some brass boxes and gave them out as gifts to friends and business associates. This particular box has been well cared for. The inside of the is clean and in very good condition. The brass on the outside has developed a nice patina and has other signs of normal age. The lid is also still very well attached with a good working hinge. It is about 2 5/8 inches by 5.5 inches by 7 1/8 inches. The box is marked A. Measures 7-3/4″ long, 3-3/4″ tall and 5-3/4 wide, inside is cedar lined. Bottom is silver plated and has designer’s hallmark. GORGEOUS! Large Chinese Enamel Brass Humidor Cigar Box Vintage Cloisonne Antique

Vintage Enameled Brass Cigar Box. Early 1900s from China. This splendid cigar box might be one of the most exceptional examples available! Made from a brass frame and painted in enamel, the level of detail on this box is breathtaking! A Royal blue background gives way to a highly intricate white and slate blue floral motif, with brightly colored accents at the corners. A solid lime green interior and base bring a spark and color not often seen in other enameled pieces. This piece is signed on the base with CHINA, denoting it being an export piece. This likely dates to the early-to-mid 1900s. This box is in EXCELLENT condition. It has very few signs of use or wear, and the level of detail is highly preserved! There are two minor nicks to the edges: one on the front right and one on the back left. There is also an exceedingly minor spot of surface wear to a spot on the top. The inside of the box has some crazing to the top. Overall, these signs of age and use are exceedingly minimal and are either not very noticeable or blend in well with the pattern. Length: 6 in (15.5 cm) Width: 4.75 in (12 cm) Height: 1.5 in (3.8 cm). Your item will come from a pet and smoke-free home.
