Charming and very well preserved metal covered box, was made by the acclaimed German factory WMF, c1910. Hammered metal over wooden body; beautiful original patina, minor loss to finish. 1930 German Koch&Bergfeld Silver Plate Egyptian Revival Art Cigar Box Humidor

Just now, I’m offering here a marvelous and scarce German Art Deco era cigarette/cigar box. Important lidded box by Koch&Bergfeld featuring Egyptian revival motifs at all sides. Fine silver plated brass box marked on the bottom with Koch&Bergfeld key mark; lettering” Feinsiber Auf.’ and retail store Egyptian motif mark, unidentifyed by me. It is absolutely great example of Art Deco decorative arts, in my opinion professional artist work. Richly decorated repose brass with many Egyptian motifs, Pyramids, Warriors, Temples, Lions Hunting scene and main motif on the lid Egyptian Pharaoh on Chariot. The box lined inside with mahogany wood on bottom and on sides to be used with cigars. The box is excellent preserved for its age with dark tone patina on silver at outside. Originate from private collection in Germany. Original condition; Please, inspect all photos carefully as they are included as part of the item description. Measures: 9.5” x 5.25” x 3” h. Antique German Black Forest Cigar Box Case Table Top Cabinet Carved Wood Humidor

Antique, German, Black Forest, carved wooden cigar cabinet. The lid & front panels open up to reveal pierced shelves, which can hold up to 34 cigars. The double shelves will hold them straight. The cabinet has 3 sections to the front for matches / accessories. On the lid & front panels is carved a 4 petal flower & leaves. It has 4 bun feet (although 1 is a replacement & slightly different shape & is slightly shorter than the other 3). Good antique condition: Nice patina. Minimal loss to the relief work. There is a split in the wood at one corner that has been glued. The lock has been removed. Size: 9″ wide x 8.5″ tall x 7 deep. Would make a wonderful gift / office decor / gentleman’s accessory! Black Forest Cigar, Smoker’s Cabinet, Stand, Box, German Shepherd Dog, 11″ x 8″, Glass Eyes. All items and photos are the express property of Antiques & Uncommon Treasure. A 19th century smoker’s caddy with huge and beautifully carved German Shepherd dog hinged to open for tobacco or cigar storage inside hollowed out pot. An angled server for matches and a brass cup for spent matches and ashes or cigar clippings. This one is superb! Yes, tip of one ear has been chipped ages ago, could be restored quite easily. No other flaws to note. Glass eyes bring him alive, don’t they? He’s chained, and rests one front foot above the squared off old log that comprises the 11 wide front piece, with a paw showing along bottom, too. Very good to excellent condition for age and type. That he’s got one nipped ear only is a bit of a miracle after so long a time. Obviously well cared for and cherished. The brass pot shows some old evidence of ash. He’s definitely served well. The interior of the tobacco compartment is clear, no residue, no odors. I’ve noted maximum depth on the photos, and that it is 8″ tall as it sits, and 11″ wide. Yes, some very old and inactive (treated) woodworm holes here or there. Nothing spongy or ruined about him. Just that Old European charm of age. You will LOVE this one! We’re easy to deal with. Antique Black Forest Carved German Hunt Humidor Antler Rosette Cigar Box c. Antique German Black Forest Wooden Carved ANTLER HUMIDOR BOX Stag Rosette c1880. It is German, hand carved from wood to look like tree bark, and decorated with roebuck stag antlers and 4 antler rosettes, two carved in relief showing a deer and a stag. Inside show three divided compartment, one with a lid. An early cigar humidor or tobacco box that comes with its original key. Dating to circa 1880. The box measures approx. 15″ x 7.5″ x 5 plus the external antler decorations. Good used condition showing great patina. The box has some damage to some of the antler tips, also has some older repairs to the feet. Inspect all photos to complete condition detail. Collection is welcome from Brixworth, Northamptonshire. Antique German Black Forest Wood Carved ANTLER HUMIDOR BOX Stag Rosette Hunt Dog Relief Key c1880.
