English Brown Stoneware Tobacco or Storage Box Jar Dated 1824

4 3/4″ X 4 1/4 X 5″ Tall, with the lid on. A great early piece of English Brown Stoneware. The box is sprigged with a pair of Dolphins on two sides and Venus rising from the sea on the other two. The handle on the lid is a resting Lion. There is no damage, cracks, chips, scratches, etc. The rim decoration appears to be a flowery wreath. The base is plain. No maker is indicated. This is a nice large old antique Mahogany wood, brass tin lined cigar, tobacco, cigarette smoking humidor case box. The item is marked by the maker: Benson & Hedges and it has initials engraved into a brass plaque on the top and it is dated for 1906 (see photos). The item is a large oversized humidor box (see photos). The item is made of yellow Brass metal, what looks to be Mahogany wood and a tin or metal interior liner (see photos). The item has a nice classical style (see photos). The item in total measures about 11 and 1/2 inches high, 1 foot 1 inch from the front to the back and it is about 1 foot 4 inches wide. The item has some , scratches, scuffs, tarnish, engraving and some signs of wear from age and use (see photos and / or written description for the condition of this item). Benedict Studios, Hammered Copper Footed Humidor Box, Cigars, Tobacco, Very Nice

The humidor is quite large as it measures 10 3/16″ wide by 6 7/16″ deep and 6 1/8 tall to the top of the handle. This humidor has a wonderful hand hammered texture on copper with a splendid applied hand hammered decorative handle. The hand hammering is plentiful and wonderfully done. The patina is as found original condition and considered quite good. You can see some wear with the copper peeking through especially inside the box but the craftsman brown with black highlights brings the warmth to this piece. The handle is mounted to the top cover and is held in place with faceted rivets. On the underside cover you can see a strap that is also riveted. This is where the sponge with moisture was stored. This humidor is considered to be in very good to excellent condition as there are no cracks or major dents to the metal. There is a few indents in one side and one of the feet has some buckling but nothing too obtrusive. This is pictured and considered normal age wear. Some areas of patina are weaker than others but it is original as found. The inside shows more patina wear but this is a moot point because you cannot see this when the lid is on. This humidor is signed with the “Benedict Studios” impressed mark along with the model number “207” also impressed. CLEMENTS ANTIQUES OF NEW HAMPSHIRE STOREFRONT. Up for sale is a high quality antique 19th century ornate wood and brass smoking box. It’s made by hand out of a varnished oak and has ornate brass appliqués on each corner and edge along with very elaborate handles on each side. It has a unique feature that when the upper hinged lid open it mechanically opens the lower cigar storage drawer on the front. The box has a skeleton key locking mechanism on the front but is missing the key. It’s in very nice condition, has acquired a great patina from age and measures 10 3/4 inches tall by 12 inches long by 7 1/4 inches wide. TRAMP ART Tobacco Cigar Humidor Jewelry Box Tool Drawer Wood Antique Vintage. Antique Tramp Art Tobacco/Cigar Humidor Box with drawer to store accessories–cutters, scissors, tampers, etc. Beautifully executed wood design. 11″ tall to very top; 13″ from side handle to side handle. Lid top measures 10 1/4″ x 8 1/4″. Inner bottom measures 8″ x 6″ x 3 5/8 deep. Moisture top with metal bottom has inner measurement of 2 5/8 square. Drawer at side bottom measures 8″ x 5 1/2″ x 3/4 deep. Moisture top has had the closing front tabs both broken and glued back together some time ago with a silver color glue. There was likely some kind of wood stick that would slide through the front tabs to hold the moisture top shut when the box was opened. The original stick is missing. Otherwise the piece is in wonderful original condition. This is truly an exceptionally well crafted piece of Tramp Art. This was being used as a jewelry box when acquired many years ago. Antique 1800's Victorian silver mahogany wood cigar humidor lined tobacco box

Up for sale is a high quality antique 19th century handmade wooden cigar humidor box. It’s made out of a rich colored mahogany with fully covered nickel plated metal corners and has acquired a lovely patina from age. The box also features large sterling silver initials on the lid that are done in a dimensional script design. The lid opens on a hinge and has two side mounted chains to hold the lid open at a 90 degree angle. The box is properly lined with a metal humidor and in great condition. It measures 10 1/2 inches long by 6 1/2 inches wide by 4 1/4 inches tall. Thank you for visiting “Dusty Treasures ” and please feel free to browse through.
