1928 RARE Rockwell Kent Sally Art Deco Cigar Box. The outside of the box is brass and the inside is lined with wood. The image on the front is attributed ti Rockwell Kent, a famous artist, print maker and writer, 1882 1971. The image depicts Sally (Sally Kent Gorton) his wife and widow. The image was designed in 1928 for an A. Spalding & Brothers magazine advertisement. Epicts Sally (Sally Kent Gorton) his wife and widow. There are very few of this particular box available. Rockwell Kent had the image etched in the lids of some brass boxes and gave them out as gifts to friends and business associates. This particular box has been well cared for. The inside of the is clean and in very good condition. The brass on the outside has developed a nice patina and has other signs of normal age. The lid is also still very well attached with a good working hinge. It is about 2 5/8 inches by 5.5 inches by 7 1/8 inches. The box is marked A.
