Impressive authentic hinged humidor box made by HEINTZ for R H Macy, heavy bronze with sterling silver overlay design on lid, in the mission / arts & crafts style of the period c. This handsome box originally housed a cedar wood removable lining and a perforated metal plate that slides in the underside of the lid. In more recent times, a blue felt lining has been placed inside which is easily removed to reveal the original interior bronze metal surface. Appropriate patina and light general wear (some scratching on front side): no attempt has been made to polish any surface.
